After 8 years of R&D using modified HMMWV portal hubs, we developed our own custom built JHF portals that now include a 5 year warranty! (see info below) Our portal hubs are a US made nodular iron HMMWV based case design that features multiple bolt on steering mounting locations, right and left specific cases (unlike the stock HMMWV), all new components, Gen II 9310 high strength helical gears, and 14″ or our new 17″ rotors with Wilwood calipers.
New for 2025, our portals now utilize a forged 4140 inner C that’s over twice the strength and more compact than our fabricated inner C! 7/8″ kingpin bolts and greaseable aluminum bronze bushings provide unmatched strength and reliability. We’ve also upgraded to a through hardened 4140 spindle that’s also twice the strength of a HMMWV spindle. But wait… there’s more. We’re offering the option for a 17′ rotor, which increases braking power by 20% (requires a 20″ wheel). Set includes components to build two steering axles: assembled portal hubs, brakes, high steer arms, inner C’s, kingpins, and bushings. *stub shafts/CV’s not included*
Designed to be used with 3″ x 9″ steering cylinders, available with 45 or 50 degree steering arms. Other steering arm options available upon request.
